Job Description:

We are seeking a hardworking and dependable worker to join our family-owned farm/large agricultural operation. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of mix-use of farming and ranching, e.g., livestock and crops. This means ensuring the health of animals, the quality of crops, and the overall success of the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cattle care tasks, including feeding, watering, monitoring health, and administering medications as needed.

• Maintain, repair, and operate farm/ranch equipment and machinery.

• Assist with planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting crops.

• Monitor pasture and range conditions, rotate grazing areas, and maintain fencing.

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and animal welfare regulations.

• Maintain detailed records of farm/ranch activities, inventory, and expenses.

• Collaborate with other team members to improve efficiency and productivity.

 

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in farming, ranching, or a related field is preferred but not required.

• Ability to operate and maintain equipment (e.g., tractors, balers, irrigation systems).

• Knowledge of livestock handling and crop production methods.

• Physically fit and able to perform labor-intensive tasks in all weather conditions.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
